Would be helpful for people to have a link to the CCleaner web site as this is a prerequisite for your extension ;-)

One big problem with this is that when it opens CCleaner and does its cleaning the windo to close Google Chrome keeps popping up. So to properly clean Chrome you have to close it.
Which kind of defeats the purpose of this extension right?

Not working here, seems to be a win7 problem.. But i'm a little concerned too, it runs an .exe file .. Is that really supposed to be possible, that means extensions can contain virus ?

I'm guessing the Exe is actually the CCleaner application ...

Tbh you're probably better of getting CCleaner and using it as part of your computer housekeeping routines ...

It's got a lot more functionality than just clearing your browsing history ;-)

In the absence of Serge posting a link you can get it here ...http://www.piriform.com/

Piriform have also got another couple of really useful utilities; Defraggler and Recuva both worth having a look at ;-)

I am a big fan of CCleaner, but to integrate this into Chrome seems really odd to me, because it goes so much further than the simple browser cleaning...

CCleaner is meant to be a stand-alone applictation and even so it can lead to a load of problems... look at their Forum.
I am really worried people start to blame Chrome for those problems.

I just don't see the any advantage...

Yes. Even without exe running capability, you could implement a virus in an NPAPI plugin. That's why there's a warning when you install extensions. (There is no warning for themes, because themes cannot run JS or include NPAPI plugins.)
