@Waha, you should edit your first post where there is still a link of an old version... that does not work

SUPER DUPER UPDATE.
Check it out.
And for those developers out there, you might be interested in how I handled the internal sticky note, cause it sure as hell was a pain to make. [Almost] all the handling code is in the background page. :]

@Waha ...

Absolutely love the improvements (so does my youngest son - loves cheat notes) ;-)

One thing ...

When in window mode there's a white strip above the note which if you click on it says 'Type to search'

However you can't type anything in it, however you can do F3 and get your search box which works fine (love the fact this works for internal sticky as well)...

Have I missed something here or is this how it's supposed to work ?

Apart from that great extension ;-)

All of that is internal Chrome stuff. The white bar is the Omnibox, I can't get rid of it (you can look at the window.open options I set where I tell it to not show the address bar, it just does anyway. I didn't even know about F3, though. lol

Glad you like it. :]

Take your word for the teckie stuff ...

The F3 was more by luck than judgement, just hit it out of frustration ;-)

Mind you, F3 working for the internal note was a bonus ;-D

Hmm.. weird. Dunno what could be causing it but I'll give it a look within the next few days.

Having just updated to the latest Dev version, thought I'd reinstall Sticky Notes ...

Installation error occurred ...

Could not install extension from 'C:\My Chrome installation\Sticky Notes, crx'.
Invalid value for 'content_scripts[0].matches[2]'.
