Default [New Extension] SEO for Chrome Toolbar (a real toolbar)

    Hi guys,

I've developed a Google chrome plugin: SEO for Chrome.

You can check: page rank, alexa rank, dmoz, yahoo back linsk, tweets, and much more.

    Screen shot:

Based on your feedback I will ad more functionalities.

You can download for FREE the extension from here: http://www.seomator.com/
Yes you will need to register. This is "the price" of the extension. I do not publish a newsletter. The registration is needed just to let you know of future seo tools or upgrades. And you can unsubscribe at any time.

    I would like your feedback.

You will need the last version of chrome or chromium. If you have errors please take a print screen and post it here.

    Thank you

@seomator; As Sulasno suggests, it would be better if you submit it to the Plugins forum as everyone else does. I'm bored with having to register at site after site, and I know many others are too. In other words, a lot of people won't bother to look. I also don't like the $100 offer on your registration page: smacks of more sales crap to come, I'm afraid. See? You just lost one potential viewer already.

I've tried some FREE/do not register SEO plugins for chrome and they were not working or got stuck. So I'm interested in people who are not bored to obtain a quality plugin for a 10 second registration.

    Quality it's not free.
Also I have a privacy policy and you have my address when you register. So you know I don't post exploits like some anonymous user could.

It's a good feedback Michael and I appreciate it. The registration remains for interested people but I will look into the $100+ (I saw that on seobook so...).

It looks cool seomator, though I don't need any SEO stuff myself.

I have nothing against things being for sale, by the way, but don't like the mixture of things we see too much of these days like, "Free software downloads!" - then when you look it turns out to be shareware or trial only, and the site is actually trying to get you to buy it. Not that yours is, but you know what I mean. I think things are better clearly marked as either free (and completely so), or at a price however low it may be. Of course with purchased software customers expect - and usually get - better and quicker support. I have a feeling more Chrome extensions will start appearing at a cost, which is good if they're professionally written and supported. So many people and companies are going Open Source these days though, so how the market will change over the next few years remains to be seen.

Regarding registering to download; That puts me off not because it takes a long time, but because too many sites ask for it just to download a small tool. I'm already registered on more than I'd like to be, and have to keep a backup of the log-ins. One of the neat things about Chrome Plugins is that people write neat extensions and scripts and put them in a public place for any who want them.

I guess I didn't ask a clear question though. Is your SEO extension for purchase only, or completely free?

    It's completely free.

I really appreciate your feedback and I agree with you.

It's quite clear for me that my message wasn't good enough, and I will make the necessary changes.

I already took out the 100$+ worth because you where right, it wasn't to clear.

I don't find registering is a way of make people give suggestions for it. When you obligate someone to do something, it's most likely that they won't do what you want.

To be really sincere, I had a great interest on it, but registering is like a wall for me: I just wont get to the other side.

Quality can be free. I don't think it's true nowadays that you have to pay (somehow) in order for something to be well done.

There will always exist in the world people that just want to get it, and don't care to help. But not everyone is like that. You can offer it for free (no registration nor anything), make it good (and I'm not saying it's not, even because I didn't look at it) and there is still going to be people giving a feedback.

Maybe add an option "Give feedback" within the extension menu? That sounds more "polite" and still does the job.

I'm not fighting, or arguing, please. This is just my opinion, because I don't think it will be of any help to the extension have a registration page (as Michael said). For me that's just a way of datamine, to send SPAM in future (not saying u going to do it, but that happens so often in web, that most experient users simply avoid)
