If you are registered on Sellaband and actively support independent music, you might find this extension to be a nice gadget. (If not, let me just recommend the site for those of you who love music!)

The extension shows a Sellaband icon in the extensions toolbar. When you hold mouse pointer over the icon, the hint appears with the list of all artist you support, and amount of money they have collected so far.

When the status (amount of money raised) of some artist changes, artist names appear to the right of the icon, with information about how much it changed (and in which direction). When you click the artist name, this artist's page opens. Click the icon to dismiss the status change info (if you don't, it will not disappear, so you will not miss any movement). Also if there is currently no status change, clicking on the Sellaband icon will open your Sellaband profile page.

The extension does not need your credential for the site - you just have to have the cookies from SAB that SAB uses to identify you as logged in. In other words, log into your profile and the close the tab, and it will work.

When the Chrome team add ability for extensions to save some persistent data, it will be possible to show also those status changes that happened when the browser was not running. For now it is not possible.

TPSellaband uses background page so it will work only with 3.0.189.0+ (currently the Dev channel).
