Yes, that would be better, of course the connection between the tab and the switch must be found. That would be one switch per tab... hmmmm... you would have to decide on a fixed number of tabs, otherwise it will be really complicated

@Benni: That's not a bad idea. There are Greasemonkey scripts that claim to enable downloads from MegaVideo, and that's another direction I'm looking at. But a Work Offline feature would have wider appeal -- a number of people have brought it up:

If I were willing to use the IE rendering engine, with all its security vulnerabilities, I'd just use IE.

I would also welcome an offline feature; I have data limit but I want to be online in train, readin pages I have opened at work, but without all the javascript and other crappy stuff consuming my data limit (typical case, although not my typical case, is Facebook - this shite can consume loads of data within a while without browsing it, just left open).Single offline check for whole browser would be fine for me, but per tab/window would be even greater (keeping bandwith hungry pages offline while still being able to browse)... And I reject to accept the stupid way of saving pages which I want to read - this doesn't put the browser offline anyway, so anything I have open would have to be saved, closed and reopened from the local file, ain't that fekin stupid??????? All other browsers can switch to offline, why Chrome can't? Actually I think it should be a default option, not a plug-in!CePal

Yes according to me luc is right chrome can not be work offline . It includes cloud computing
