Default Plugin/Theme to reduce window border

Is it possible in Chrome to reduce or eliminate the top window border so that the tabs are all the way at the top?

At the same time, then it would be nice if you could click and drag on any unlinked area of the window to move the window around, if not one could use the edges.

Maximizing the window puts the tabs all the way to the top.

Thats nice, but I don't want it to be maximized - I own the patent on a product that maintains cascaded stacked windows and want to be able to minimize the header area basically in half to make the deck look better. I need a developer that knows the api to let me know if this is doable - I might be interested in paying for a plug-in or theme that does this.

From what I can read on Theme overview page and in the community guide, there is currently no way to achieve this using themes.

They only work with images, and I doubt the normal extension framework would allow this, with which I have some experience.

Furthermore, I cannot find any fitting command-line switches for this purpose...

It is therefore my assessment that your only option is a NPAPI plugin, or some kind of hack.

That is however a bit outside my area of competence, so I cannot really help you any further...
And while monetary compensation would be incentive to dig deeper, my current employment prevents me from pursuing that path.

Maybe someone else has better ideas, or you could suggest it as a feature...
