I would love to have Sidewiki in extension form. I never liked bookmarklets as they hog the room on my bookmark bar.

have you tried creating a folder and put all the bookmarkets in it ?

Google says on their Sidewiki page:

But "working" for how long? No one knows...

For now, you can try the Sidewiki bookmarklet. It works, but launches in a new window, since Chrome does not (yet?) support toolbars.
