I do not understand your question:
Chrome is a Web browser
Thunderbird is a standalone E-mail program
Could you be a bit more clear in your question?

Are you using POP3 or web based mail?
have you tried asking at the Mozilla newsgroups?

He wants to integrate Thunderbird with Chrome, so that he doesn't need to open TB to read e-mails.
Exactly as IE had with Outlook Express - dunno if still have, long time don't use it.
