Hi TP ...

Getting to be a pain I know ...

When you check to load pages automatically the feed count disappears, it would be better to leave this displayed ...

What I've done is open another window with the box checked so I can just flip windows and go and read my updates ...

It would be nice to know I've got new feeds and how many tabs to expect ...

As I wrote this I realised that you would say because it marks them as 'read' in GR the count will be reduced to zero anyway ...

Perhaps a feature for the future :-D

That's going to be some more work, but I think it is possible. For now it would be useless to display the number because, as you say, it will be always zero. But I'll think about it, it might be a nice feature, and possible to implement as far as I know. Thanks for your thoughts.

@TP ...

I can't do the programming work myself, but I can have a think about how you could implement it ...

For the time being I'll just have another window open (boxes unchecked) and go to it when I want to read my feeds (saves cluttering my current window) ...

Keep up the good work ;-)

OK, implemented Now the number of automatically opened tabs appears on the toolbar instead of number of unread items when the box is checked. And one or two minor improvements related to working with many windows.

Administrator,
Thanks for writing about TPGR on the blog I hope people find it useful.

@TP ...

Works well ....

What I really like is when you open one of the tabs the count decreases ;-)

All we need now is that subscribe feature and this will be perfect ;-)

@TP ... I have an issue with your extension in that it is conflicting with another extension I have installed...

I use Custom NewTab and when I have your extension installed instead of getting my NewTab I get a blank page ...

Now I know this may sound stupid but the only thing I can see is that CNT and TPGR are the next 2 extensions after AdSweep in my installed extensions list...

CNT doesn't use the Toolstrip anymore ...

Where's the conflict ...

Hello. I've just uploaded version 0.2.6 with support for multiple feeds on a page. I feel that it does not work perfectly and sometimes seems a bit unstable, but for me most of the time everything is OK. I think that some of the unstable behaviours are not my fault, but rather Chrome bugs.

Also a number of small issues were corrected in the current version.

As for the conflict with CNT, I'll try to reproduce it later. For now I don't have any idea why should this happen.

OK ...

I'll go and download your latest version and check it out ...

Btw .. sometimes the count doesn't appear next to the checkbox, why is that ?

PS: If its any help, the blank page it displays is the New Tab but without any details on it ;-)

It's a very promising extension, but is it normal that the counter can't display above 100 new unread messages ?

That's true, I specified the number of messages as 100, and I though that number is big (the default was 20). But OK, I'll increase it to 1000 in the next version (probably today or tomorrow), this should not be a problem.
