ive thought long and hard about that, ive even designed my own operating system XD, i drew pictures and everything..


turning plugins on/off but without enable/dissable?
or do you want hotkeys for enabling/disabling them? i think hotkeys are to limited to let them turn off plugins aswell. besides you dont really turn them off/on all that often.

Plugin documentation better documentation is always nice, maybe even an editor designed specifically for creating chrome plugins.

view/manage plugins im not sure if your talking extensions?, plugin is a very broad term, although i asume you mean extensions. which there is an extensions page

open source although chrome is open source, i dont think all of its plugins are..., although in my dream OS everything would automatically be open source default

image manipulation? very basic things the browser should be able to do, like lower the quality of an image (infact im adding this one)

built in torrenter and music player
it would be nice if you could download torrents directly through chrome, this would also save time with not having to remove the .torrent file. It would also allow chrome to properly manage where your network resources go. allowing for optamized browsing, while downloading (it would pause the torrents when a page was being loaded, ect, and resume once it finishes)
A music player probably isnt the best idea to build in, although i believe there are already extensions out there that can do the job..., although chrome still needs a page mute system.

Chrome can play .mp3's. Sometimes my computer hangs and no player can play an mp3 than I drag the mp3 file to chrome and it plays without any problem

@music player, I wouldnt know, i dont have a sound card XD..
i wonder though, if the sound works when you arent on the same tab as the mp3?, and do sounds also work on pages that arnt directly linked to an mp3 (like say spam, and or a youtube video)

im pretty sure userscripts dont take any memory (or atleast very little)
but what other extension, extensions dont take up memory unless clicked. (a link would help), although i was think more along the lines of it being coded to have an option to automatically make an extension do this (some coders dont think about us people with really old computers XD)

its a little more than i was looking for XD, but its definetly good, and actually i dont think it uses any memory except when its activated. so ill keep it installed...

I think i was more refering to ffox type customization, where everything can be dragged and dropped, combined with code customization that linux does offer, along with the software being open aswell (i know a large portion of linux software is open, and with wine it can run windows programs), also the OS should come pre-equipped with a huge features library (maybe any user could upload a 'feature'/useful program, and mods would go through it and aprove, then it would be added in the next update (when update pops up there would be a ticker, with a descrip of the new feature, with a few options: add this feature, add this feature for 1 day(default which would prompt after that time to see if you still wanted to keep the feature installed or not), or dont add this feature.
ive tried 2 linux distributions, neither had the umph that windows 7 has...

Update: Light Mode, unlike incognito mode, everything in this mode should be oriented for speed, maybe serverside image scaling, for reduced filesize transfers, along with its own selection of which extensions to allow and not to..

extensions can be allowed incognito, but they cant be allowed ONLY incognito.. there are some extensions i dont want running usually, (also checkbox for any other modes that you might add)


Maximum bandwith consumption - limiting the max up/download speeds, preventing it from 'lagging' games every time a page loads..), i have 130kbps down, and 40 up and i still have that problem here..., yet i can leave uTorrent on @ 40/10Kbps and it not lag while playing games (lag while other people in the household browse)


webpages still dont have bandwith priority over downloads.., and there should be a download/upload limit setable in options


Bugs: Sync data doesnt seem to want to delete bookmarks properly..
when trying to save multiple files at a time (while like 10~ are currently being saved)
the popup to save the next files doesnt pop up UNTIL, some of the other files have completed their download.. it should just pop up right away..,
