Default Argument over the better browser. Please Help.

So this kid was boasting about his Internet Explorer 9 Beta. I told him Chrome will always be better. He then proceeds to tell me, (his exact words) "you know the only reason Google Chrome is so much "Better" is because they have all the websites all in there data base. So what your viewing isn't the true website, it's just branched off.". Can anyone tell me if this is true/makes any sense. I'm pretty sure he has no idea what he's talking about but I'd just like to confirm.[btw, my first post! (: ]

The part about "Google keeping branched copies of all websites in their database" is obviously false. There is no special Google version of anything. Chrome loads all websites from their respective webservers just like every other browser, including IE 9 beta.

However, you should properly evaluate IE 9 beta so that you understand its pros and cons. IE 9 beta is indeed quite a good browser. It has much, much improved standards compliance, Acid2 compliance, much improved Acid3 compliance, extremely improved Javascript performance on par with Firefox 4 beta, and a clean and responsive interface.

Chrome's development and release has definitely caused all the browser makers, including Microsoft, to improve and upgrade their browsers.

Oh yeah, IE 9 beta also has multi-process support, decent native SVG support, decent HTML5 support (including <video>, <audio>, <canvas> and WOFF fonts), and hardware accelerated graphics (though not for Win XP).

Certainly, Chrome's support and integration for all these is much better and more complete, but I think IE 9 beta is quite a good browser overall.

    Default True / False

The applyer above is also false. Google Chrome uses the same interface as Google INC. They do use "Copies" of the general webpages even though your they are on the actual website. Google.com uses an interface that, buy your search query, automaticly updatesyour search by pulling up the most recent webpages you've been on. Internet Explorer 9 Beta does use the interface of now HMTL5 and updated Javascript, it doesn't update the search on Bing. Google Chrome is best for Searching, but if your trying to design a website in the best quality, internet Explorer is best. Choose Internet Explorer 9 Beta.

Another plus for chrome is that it's setup to maximize what's called "cloud computing." I'm not a tech-guy, so I don't have the exact terminology, but basically cloud computing means google's servers are processing information that your computer would usually have to utilize memory to process and then it streams the important parts to you. That's why chrome works faster than most browsers because it's helping your computer process the info. On most computer's it's not a major difference, but until recently I was using a computer that I bought in '04 and switching from IE to chrome there was a very noticeable difference.

Wow, that's kinda pointed don't you think. How about you say, "you should try IE 9 beta" People are more likely to try a suggestion than follow a command.
