Is chrome ever going to get this function? I think it was the best thing about the google toolbar. I really like the speed of chrome, but I'm all but ready to go back to IE7 so I can use the toolbar to get the auto form fill function back.

Chrome has an autofill facility, but not in quite the same way as your used to ...

It remembers sites that you have visited previously.

Selecting the the box that you want to enter data in to and pressing the down arrow key Chrome provides a pop up from which you can select....

You need to be on at least the Beta of Chrome for this to work

Just not the same, I switched to firefox. Maybe if chrome gets better I'll switch back, but I fill out a lot of forms on sites I may have never been to. This has been asked for since chrome first came out and they have done nothing about it. Seems like they are not listening to what people want. I am happy with firefox, although it is not as fast as chrome was.

Hi flightcrazed, I feel your pain. I thought the LastPass extension was the Holy Grail for me, but alas they decided to remove the ability to autofill textarea elements, which didn't cut it for me. So I went and created my own autofill extension:
