The tips in my new new tab page is under the "recently closed" bar.

This might be a stupid question but... what is the tool strip?..

Edit: never mind, I read around and found that I'm just not a tool strip user. :P

No need for command line entries (new new tab is default anyway)...

Tips are quite cool, they change each time you restart Chrome (only to be expected I suppose)...

I don't know if it's me, but I'm getting some serious memory leaks since the update.

I have the same memory leak issue. Since the 4.0.206.1 version it slowly consumes about 3.2GB of memory then chrome crashes. The Windows (XP SP3) commit charge was 4.3G just before the last crash and dropped to 1.1G as soon as chrome crashed. Shortly after the last crash and restart of chrome I grabbed the about:memory stats, the private virtual memory was 861,196K

Browser Private Shared Total Private Mapped
    Google Chrome 4.0.206.1
    726,564k 9,132k 735,696k 861,196k 165,688k
    IE 8.00.6001.18702
    7,064k 2,302k 9,366k 21,348k 38,860k
    Firefox 3.5.3
    76,812k 3,840k 80,652k 80,856k 14,252k

then I left the computer and went to eat. About 1.5 hours later with me away from the computer, now the Private Virtual memory is 2,357,380K and still climbing. IE and Firefox are stable in their memory consumption.

3 extensions installed. Same 3 I had before the new version.

    Session Save 0.9
    Session Saver 0.17
    Sticky Notes 1.2

I have uninstalled those extensions and then installed newer versions of session save and session saver. Still the memory leaks persist.

Virtual memory up to 2,863,612k now.
