This is a discussion on Chrome Dev Updated (again) - 4.0.211.4 within the Chrome Talk section, part of the Google Chrome category: at least the bug can be reproduced without fail :-)...
I wonder why there is no crash report available for Chrome. It would be interesting to know why a browser crashes (i.e. was it because of a pr0n site? I'd have to stop watching all the dirty stuff .. ok probably I'd just switch to Opera) and more importantly... it would sure be better for the Chromium team to clean out bugs?!
I think my 4.0.211 issue is solved.
It appears TPGoogleReader was the culprit. See its author's entry at:
http://code.google.com/p/tpgooglereader/
But to be certain, I removed all extensions I was using, erased my Preferences file, let Chrome recreate it and then reset my settings. I reinstalled all extensions except TPGoogleReader, and all is ok.
Performance is probably better than it was. Sometimes a good housecleaning is useful.
Gmail Notifier sample is BUGGED TOO... using minimal theme crashes too...
So far so good on Linux. :] Only have Sticky Notes, AdBlock+, Kado Kado Enhanced Stats, and Stumble Now installed though.
EDIT: lol nevermind stuck on 4.0.211.2, and no updates.. weird!

I think the crash in this latest chrome version is coming from their javascript code base. I can crash pretty regularly when a site I'm on is performing an AJAX action, including my extensions, and find the version extremely stable on static (ajaxless) pages.
also I made a twitter extension for chrome, but this latest version 4.0.211.4 makes it pretty unusable as all of its interactions with twitter are through AJAX.
If anyone with a previous version to 4.0.211.4 (or if you're reading this sometime in the future and have a subsequent version that might have this bug patched) you can check it out at mseiler.com/chrome
I've actually got the standalone for 4.0.206.1 but couldn't upload it to the forum (just kept going and going and going!!)
Anyway this will get you what ever version you want !!!
