Smile Is Chrome Going Public on Mac and Linux

Google have recently updated their Privacy Policy for Chrome ...

The first two paragraphs have been revised ...

In June Google released the first Beta version of Chrome to Mac and Linux but warned that this was for testing purposes only and that they weren't ready for public consumption ...

So is this an indication of things to come ?

And extention docs has been updated,- no horrible red signs with "stop not ready" .. It seems everything soon will be ready to ship with Chrome v1.. ups I mean Chrome v5 ..

A guess from me would how ever be, that you'll see the mac version go public around the time for the first preview of Chrome OS .. So they get alot of PR for a whole month (and win7 perhaps a litle less) ...

I don't doubt it will be soon, Chrome for Linux, as of this last version, is working like a perfectly normal and feature-rich-enough browser. Extensions were even enabled by default on this release.
I'll be glad when they do release it though. Maybe they'll stop changing extensions so often then.

I don't think version 5 (well perhaps 4.5 !) is that far off now ...

Especially as they have done away with needing the command line for extensions and the extension page itself has been significantly tidied up ..

Surely there can't be that much more to do with extensions and the API ?
