    Default Chrome speed development

I'v desided to make a weekly speed test of the Chrome browser so see how it improves through time. It gives a good shot this first week, by being the fastest recorded acording to the site.

It is being tested on Windows 7 x64 with latest Chromium builds. I'll run the test 2 times pr week.

I test it with test suite at http://jsbenchmark.celtickane.com (warning, this site has preveusly had virus, this should not happen again - i hope)

    Week 43:
    Chromium 4.0.224.3 (Udviklerversion 29908)

    Last Score: 578
    Test iterations: 1
    Your computer scored:
Faster than 100% of all computers that ran this test

    Last Score: 552
    Test iterations: 2
    Your computer scored:
Faster than 99.9% of all computers that ran this test

Seems to be a bit of a contradiction of terms ...

" ....weekly speed test of the Chrome browser"

" ....tested with latest Chromium builds"

How.. It clearly says what I'm testing with.. And the stuff from chromium is getting into Chrome.. But there's not much purpose in testing Chrome everyweek.. 12/10 understud what was tested (like what I meant here )

TBH Don't really see the point in this test at all ...

Apart from a few who are at the configuration you are testing (and would already notice any increases) what valid information does it bring to the rest of us ?

Speed, is at best subjective, and depends on so many variables as to make it almost impossible to be used as a valid measurement parameter ...
