    Not the feed reading (I use Google Reader, great!) but at least the discovery of feeds...
    I know there are scripts/extensions available but as I said, seems like a basic thing to me.

    I agree that it is a basic function really ...

    However just how many of them are there in Chrome?

    Do you use TPGoogleReader ?

    It's probably (imo) the best of the extensions available for Chrome ...

    Particularly like the fact that once it's opened the Feed in a new tab it also marks it as read ...

    I hate Google reader, how about a proper RSS feed reader extention for Chrome that actually displays your feeds, not just link you to Google Reader?
