Google Chrome Plugins and Themes

I really like google chrome. Besides being forced to watch youtube through nl.youtube.com [which is a problem that no one else seems to have] I have no real complaints. Oh, I would like some features but I'm sure they will get around to it.

What about Chromium? The "portable version". Is anyone else using that? I don't seem to be able to get Chromium to save any of my bookmarks or any of my history back on my jump drive.

Also, any of the java based hacks that Chrome users have come up with will stay built into Chromium once I've shut it down and then brought it back up. Is this something I can fix because there is precious little to be done about this in the "options" field....
