    Hello!
    In my design i have used all external files(like header, left menu, footer) and included in the home page and internal pages and applied the CSS to images and the text in header, left menu, footer, but not attached the CSS stylesheet in the header, left menu, footer, because on the main page index and the DWT file i have attached the style sheet. Have i done correct or, is there any other method to call external files on the pages.

    Hi vasantarkachari,

    Thanks for the CSS. I have validated all of it and it is valid. However, it is still just CSS definitions.

    We also need some sample HTML code that uses those CSS that produces the problems you are talking about.

    Like I said I dont know jack on css, but how is a line like this valid?...
    background-image: url(background-image:url(/images/bg.jpg);
    ....sure dont look valid to me (missing a closing bracket for starters), wouldnt it just be...
    background-image:url(/images/bg.jpg);
    ....but like I said, I dont know jack.
    And like sarjoor said, the HTML would sure help.

    I totally agree with PAEz about the background-image lines. The extra "background-image: url(" is definitely an error.

    And now I also know why my validation check didn't find that error: I used the wrong validator to check the CSS! To validate your CSS, you can check it at: W3C CSS Validator

    Using the correct validator reveals the following issues you should look at for your CSS. Some, like the "background-image" are definitely errors, and some are features depending on which version of CSS you specify.

    Code:
    12 body Property overflow-x doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 but exists in : hidden
    16 .t-body Value Error : background-image attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it
    0	 .t-body	 Value Error : background-image Parse Error null
    21 .btrailbg Value Error : background-image attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it
    0 .btrailbg Value Error : background-image Parse Error null
    26 .btrail_bg Value Error : background-image attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it
    0	 .btrail_bg	 Value Error : background-image Parse Error null
    36 .internalbg Value Error : background-image attempt to find a semi-colon before the property name. add it
    0 .internalbg Value Error : background-image Parse Error null
    274 .header Property align doesn't exist : center
    331 The pseudo-element ::hover can't appear here in the context css21 [hover]
    414	 .inlinks	 Value Error : color 999999 is not a color value : 999999
    420	 .modalBackground	 Parse Error opacity=80)
    421 .modalBackground Property opacity doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 but exists in : 0.8
    439 .searchboxps Value Error : font Arial is not a font-size value : Arial,tahoma,Verdana,trebuchet MS
    But still, having some sample HTML code that uses those CSS that produces the problems would definitely be helpful.
