Default Customize how Chrome handles downloads on a per extension basis

Okay so I'm finally making the switch to Chrome now that it's populated by all the "good plugins".
I find myself missing 2 essential features or plug-ins. One feature is particularly strange.

When I download a file with Firefox, by default I get to decide what to do. Save it to a specific location or open it with a specific program? I want that option in Chrome. To make it understand that every time I download a .torrent-file, it should open with my Torrent-client, every time I save an image, I want it to save it to my Desktop etc.
Automatic Save Folder was a good Firefox plugin for this:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4781/

The second feature I'm looking for is a mass-downloader to download all images or selected links on a website. DownThemAll! was a pretty good Firefox plugin that did this.

Any ideas for getting this behavior in Chrome?

For downloading, you can choose to have it ask you where to save stuff everytime. That's about as far as it goes within Chrome though. I think the only option for "fixing" that may be install a download manager which monitors the Chrome download directory and will move or open certain files once they exist there. Dunno if such a tool exists, but I'm guessing it probably does.

As for downloading all images, I don't know if any such extension exists currently, but it should definitely be possible. One extension that comes to mind is the TinEye extension, which finds all images on the current page and shows them in a popup, and lets you search TinEye for any of them. Perhaps it'd be possible to modify it so that it'd download them instead of showing them in a popup.

You may want to look into Download Helper : https://chrome.google.com/extensions...jclmkianficch#

May at least be able to download all images/links by the looks of things, I've just installed it and am trying it out now

EDIT: Turns out that you also need to install FlashGet on your computer. With a little tweaking of FlashGet's settings, it behaves EXACTLY as I believe you wanted it. It can download certain extensions to certain folders etc., and can download all images/links/embedded media on a page, just like DownThemAll (very similar interface too). If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have installed this to try it out, so I thank you

EDIT: Actually, despite how the settings imply, you seemingly can't make all files download with FlashGet by default. =/
