    Default Font Rendering

    Hey Google,

Nice work on the new browser! You've definitely got your work cut out for you, though.

One thing I'd love to suggest is a more rounded rendering of the fonts displayed in your browser. You can take a look at this in action by using Safari, and even IE7 has finer fonts as well. As a developer, it my duty to make sure everything looks awesome no matter where you view it, but by far the best looking browsers are the ones that handle fonts more efficiently.

Everything You Said is COMPLETELY Correct. But, The Reason That Safari Looks So good in the Manner That It Handle fonts is because Safari Comes Prepacked with Fonts Designed Specifically For Use with Safari (Lucida Grande).

That's not a good thing - it should render well regardless of the font. If it does pack-ins better than any other font, that's not optimization or good font handling, it's obfuscation.
