This is a discussion on Goodbye GoogleChrome within the Chrome Talk section, part of the Google Chrome category: I can't believe this, Chrome doesn't even remember the last folder you save your files, it always reverts to default ...

I can't believe this, Chrome doesn't even remember the last folder you save your files, it always reverts to default folder.

Like I said, basic stuff missing and weird mentality of starting from scratch and not learning from other products.

He may have the secret but has he the sense of humour ...

As for the 10, I could point you at loads (probably hundreds) of posts where the author has retreated to FF for something they quite simply couldn't live without ...

Everyone has an opinion of what is good or bad design ...

I really don't understand why it is that people feel compelled to make a big announcement that they are leaving Chrome, I'm not going to lose sleep over it and neither are Google ...

At the end of the day Google have a plan and it is more than World domination with Chrome ...

If we take the progress of Chrome to date, it is patently obvious that Google isn't taking a lot of notice of what people want, if something is included in the development of Chrome that you requested don't fool yourself with the notion that it is public opinion that has forced the issue, it's not !!

Recently Google removed a lot of features from the Dev channel version of Chrome saying that they would be back when Chrome got to version 6 (more and better testing of functionality ?)...

Not so, they have started to reappear again in the latest builds ...

As far as Google are concerned Chrome is merely a 'means to an end' part of the much bigger picture ...

So enjoy your FF and I'll enjoy my Chrome (along with a lot of others) ...

When all is said and done it's all about the OS and the next big battleground ...

I'll leave you to ponder on that one ;-)

There is a lot of vague wishful thinking and inversed conspiratorial mentality in your post.

What kind of old ass Chrome are you using? No list of correctly spelled words in the spell checker? Did you even right-click it? O.o
Also if you take a look around: The only Download Manager That Supports Chrome!!!
And blah blah blah. Give it a look around.
I'm getting kind of sick of these "help me fix my chrome " in disguise threads. If you just wanted help to find stuff, why not just ask? Does it really have to be disguised as an angry letter?

Firefox is good because i have so many pretty Add-Ons to choose from. Chrome is faster, but Firefox has more add-ons. Both are pretty safe, except Chrome has a sandbox type feature that makes it a little more secure.

Why are you so blatantly lying?

What does external download manager have to do with anything?!

And just from your quoted post I misspelled the words support(spport), wanted(wnted), angry(anghry) etc...not a single one of those words had the properly spelled list of words upon right clicking like they do in FF.

    Your lying is quite ridiculous.

And Chrome doesn't autofill the login form on the very official Chrome forum!!!
I have to manually fill the username and password every single time!

We are all lying so you can return to use Firefox without looking back, bye-bye...

    @Xol

Not sure how you interpret Waha's comments as 'blatant lying' ....

They are the facts as she sees it (so do I for that matter) ...

Next you will be accusing this forum (well me, Luc and Waha anyway) of a conspiracy against FF advocates ...

To be honest we (and many like us) are just fed up of people like you who have nothing better to do than just come here and moan about Chrome's lack of functionality ...

It's not even constructive criticism !!

As for the 'Very Official Chrome Forum' perhaps they are hoping you forget your username and password and thus prevent you from enlightening them with any more of your astute observations ...

    Dunno what you're talking about:

Maybe you should try going to Wrench->About and updating yeah?

Also I didn't know it was external, it's only for Windows so I wouldn't have been able to test it. My point was that it sure doesn't seem like you've been taking full advantage of search functionality at your fingertips.
Did you know there was a search button on this forum?
Did you know there were official theme and extension repositories? As well as ones this forum's owner maintain?
How about that in Wrench->Options you can set up how it handle downloads, as you complain about in your first post?
Could you have possibly thought of the GASP BRILLIANT IDEA of the fact that you don't need DTA all the time, and you can use Firefox for the times you do, while still using Chrome to speed up the rest of your browsing?

Obviously not, or we wouldn't be here, in this thread, ranting about the same shit that comes up because people would rather BITCH than WORK.

    Don't call me a liar.
