    Default Goodbye GoogleChrome

It is a rather good and fast web browser, I was thinking about replacing Firefox with it but Firefox has many critical add-ons, like DownloadHelper(you can download with one click any video from any site), downthemall, imagezoom, yahoo mail notifier etc. etc.

Chrome has none of that which reduces it's functionality to zero, why would I go to basics?
There is nothing even close to the functionality of DownloadHelper for Chrome...there is nothing more basic than the ability to download any video from any site with 1-2 clicks, it should be a standard by now, integrated in the browser from the very beginning..

You really need to fix this lack of add-ons problem if you intent to spread Chrome.

I was horribly disappointed and see no reason to use it again...

Also it doesn't have an add-on that automatically renames the image file if the image by that name already exists in the designated folder.

No down them all does suck, but the extension api just keeps getting bigger so Im sure itll come one day.
    ImageZoom try Image Embiggener
    yahoo mail notifier
And on the image rename thingy, I noticed my chrome was changing the name of images when I downloaded them to a directory that had the same file name the other day....13.jpg became 13(1).jpg....dont know when this started but I like it

I doubt it, DownloadHelper is the most persistently reliable video downloader of them all and not many people know about it.

Image Embiggener does not function in the slightest.

When will people realise that virtually everything that is available in FF is a plugin ...

The reason it doesn't exist in Chrome is because it hasn't been written yet ...

Email the author of the FF plugin and see if they will convert it to run in Chrome ...

Just because it doesn't exist is not a reason to 'ditch' Chrome ...

Yes, and now Google will certainly be very afraid because Xol has threatened to "ditch" Chrome

    Indeed ...

Be afraid ... very, very afraid ....

Wish I had a pound (or should that be a euro ?) for every person (was going to be extremely disparaging) that was going back to FF because Chrome hadn't got this or that function ...

Oh foolish Google, didn't you realise that for Chrome to be a success you needed to have every single plugin that has ever been written for FF converted and available to plugin to Chrome from day one ...

Just for good measure you could then have given it a new name as well ...

    I know, how about .... Firefox 2 !!

You don't make any sense, there are less than 10 critical universal plugins for Firefox that are derived from common sense needs.

For a new web browser to not have them integrated as default does not make any sense, number 10 is a very small number.

Also, talking about basic stuff missing, Firefox's spellchecker besides underlining misspelled words also has an immediate list of properly spelled words when you right click on it.

    Chrome has no such thing.

What's up with this weird mentality of starting from scratch with new products?
