Default Google Chrome in Microsoft OS = Problem

I personally find that lot of problems surface out using google chrome browser in respective Operating System (OS).

    Microsoft OS
    1. Microsoft OS itself is not a good and stable OS.If you install anything and everything seem like getting unstable.
    2. User skill level of using the google browser itself.
    3. Spywares / Virus attacked on the browser.

    Linux (Ubuntu) version 10.04
    1. Zero issue and problem

    Conclusion
At time it is not google browser is causing the problem but the skill level of user, installed operating system and spyware / virus attack targeted at Window OS.

    What do you think?

I think you are being a little too simplistic in your comments ...

You obviously don't know a lot about Microsoft OS and again which one are you talking about (there are 3 with different versions) ...

As for the Linux version that you use, Ubuntu (I use it too) there are issues with the GUI that could be better ...

Well i speak simplistic about Microsoft OS because i have been using window 3.1 to Window 7.I have been using all Window OS for many years and in recent years i decided to make a switch due to involvement of the OS security & stability. After making the switch from Red Hat, Fedora & now Ubuntu and i discovered how easy and stable to use Linux in compare with Microsoft OS.

In short, you do not need to use GUI to run a system because GUI just make thing simple and easier management of the software.Of course this is case by case basic such as you need a good GUI to do all those graphic design, etc.

Microsoft OS do not need much skill level for a newbie to learn how to use it.
Linux require a certain amount of skill for a user to compile and install a new software.

I disagree. I am the over way around.

Windows 7/Vista - Chrome runs fast, never had a virus with it,never crashes or lags at all.

Ubuntu - Crashes quite a bit, slow on some things, bit fidely etc.
    Chrome and Chromium FTW!

You never got a virus / crash / lag does not mean it is secure. At time it is how you secure your system and it is not only the browser that saved you from it.

FYI Microsoft OS has always been a main target for all kind of attacks and it is so prone to buffer overflow that you can easily crash it / it applications such as browser as well.

To my record i got zero crashes on Ubuntu and i write my own iptables firewall. How do you grade yourself as Ubuntu user?Newbie, intermediate or Advance User?

If you think you have never get a crash before as a user.Click here to test

Caution : This will crash your browser and i am not responsible for any damage.

The reason that Windows is the main target for attacks is because it has the biggest user base of any OS ...

Hackers get more 'kudos' from breaking Windows where it will be broadcast globally and hence they gain a certain amount of 'notoriety' as opposed to a Linux or Mac breach which in real terms is fairly minimalistic (and difficult to do)...

As to whether you are a Newbie, Intermediate or Advanced User is of no real consequence

Whether you are subject to instability or threat has as much to do with your own activities as to the vulnerabilities in Windows, or anything else for that matter ...

I'm relatively new to Ubuntu (having only recently installed 9.10 and just upgraded to 10.04) but have to say I like what I see so far ...

I've been a Windows user for years and apart from the odd issue haven't really had any major problems ...

In my experience it is the browsing habits of individuals that cause the problems not the browser itself ...

Last but not least, of interest to Ubuntu users will be an Extension I've just come across called 'Ubuntuforums.org Start Page' which replaces the NewTab page with a whole host of Links to Ubuntu forums for just about anything ...

In addition you can add your own RSS Feeds (upto 5), Speeddial (upto 16), Task List and loads of other stuff ...

The area highlighted changes depending on what you want there, Bookmarks list, RSS Feeds, Task List ...

    https://chrome.google.com/extensions...omakhpfdmocpmn

TBH even if you don't use Ubuntu it's worth it just for the other features ;-)

    PS

Not exactly sure what your link is supposed to break, it certainly doesn't 'crash' Chrome ...

Chrome acts exactly as it should do, the link crashes and so does the page you are on (ie your post) but all other Tabs remain intact (well done Chrome) ;-)

The link which i have provided which actually crashed all browsers on all OS.If you tell me yours didn't crash, hard to believe and trust you. This is just the latest vulnerability causing a buffered overflow on the browser itself unless you are using an extension / addon to block it.This has been verified by many people of the vulnerability.

Why Window OS has been the main target for all kind of hack , virus , trojan ,etc as you have mentioned because it has the largest pool of the market.Beside that, window OS is built upon an close concept of it source code in which it wanna dominate the market by itself.I have remembered years back when Microsoft source code has been leaked out and tone of attacks has been made upon it.I am doubtful about Microsoft OS stability and security through out these days and even Window 7 has been a copy cat of Linux GUI.

Why google chrome has went open source? It has been adopted the same concept as firefox and linux which has a larger pool of community to look at it source code and debug plus improvement.

This has been an obvious reason why your Ubuntu has been crashed here and there since you are just a new user. The good news is that Ubuntu has make significant improvement from version 9.40 to version 10.04.I am confident in the near future Linux will over take Microsoft just as Firefox has already beaten IE in the market.

Mine did not crash at all because a threat was intercepted by my AVG antivirus:
