Starting yesterday, I am not able to access Google Chrome, which has worked fine for over a year. To my knowledge, I have not changed any setting.
When I click on the "start-up" icon, GC attempts to open to the Home Page I have set, but nothing happens for about 30 seconds. Then I get a message saying the GC is "Unresponsive". There also appears a picture of what I would call a "sick" computer.I can either "kill" the page of "wait". Although, waiting does nothing.
Any idea as to what my problem might be ?
Thanks,
Hanagan
Sorry for the delay in answering this question, but I was out for the evening.
I am using version 3.0.195.21 of Google Chrome and XP Home as my operating system.
This problem just started happening, and it only happens on my desktop computer. The laptop is fine. I found that I can use System Restore back a day or two, and GC will work for a short time. Without shutting the computer down, Google Chrome just stops and I get the "unresponsive" message. Up until a few days ago, I have never seen that message. I also tried to re-install Google Chrome, but that didn't make any difference.
To the best of my knowledge, I did not change any settings in GC. However, I do believe that I recently upgraded to the version I mentioned above.
Can you think of any reason that GC will not respond and open up to my Home Page as it it before I started to have this problem ?
I do have FireFox installed, so I can continue to use my desktop computer. However, I do like GC and would prefer to have it work properly.
Thanks for your help.

Can someone guide me.
i am also having the same problem. pls someone has to know something! i've tried uninstalling and re-installing. i've tried making a new default user. neither worked...
Could it be the cache is getting full? If so does any one know how to purge the cache? My GC has slowed down over time. It takes about 14 seconds to load on a cold start, and sometimes it takes a few seconds to load a page. It's not the extensions.![]()

its nothing to do with GC its your adobe flash player, if u ctrl, alt, delete when it crashes and go to task manager then applications u can see that flash player is not responding, the only reason firefox doesnt crash as much is because its better at handiling the problem unlike GC, just reinstall flash player and it should work fine
OK thanks for the tip.![]()
