The history index files (in C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default) go back to 2008 -- and are taking up a lot of disk space.
Is there a standard way to delete them?
I saw an earlier post saying they can be deleted manually -- but are there side effects?
It seems that Chrome should provide options for how long they stay around, and/or offer a way to delete them manually.
