On other browsers, you normally get a message about an update/new build popping up when you open (or at least you can configure to have that happen). You then have to go to a download site to download and install. Does anyone know what will happen with Chrome? Do I need to configure the browser so that I get notified about updates? (Apologies if I have put this post in the wrong section of the forum.)

I know that you can check manually by going to settings(Spanner) and selecting "About Google Chrome" and this automatically checks for updates, other than that I have no idea .......

Thanks Whisky. Will have a look at that.

It'd be nice for automatic update (upon checking a nice little box)! *crosses fingers that the devs would be so kind to include this in future releases.*

Chrome automatically updates. When you install Chrome it also installs the Google Updater if you didn't already have it. This is a service that runs at logon and auto updates Google products (or at least just Chrome).

Or is that what you meant by 'automatically'? |
