Default I like chrome's speed, but I hate the aware... Plugins?

I love chrome speed in the sense that I can have 4-5 tabs up and have the process take up less resources than one tab in firefox.

The only problem I have with chrome, and it's an annoying big on, is that every time I use it I'm forced to run my adware programs to remove adware.

What's is interesting is that I literally had not had any adware pop-up on windows defender, avg, or spybot for 4+ months and then one day I started using chrome and I had 30+ hits. I think part of the problem is that my spybot's "immunize" function doesn't apply to chrome, so scripts are hitting me through the browser unchecked.

Is there any script that can help mitigate the influx of adware?

Update:I have tried this suggestion and and although I seemed to get less spyware than before, the results were overall unremarkable.

I just don't understand why such an efficient browser is such a gaping spyware hole compared to a spybot immunized firefox. All I did was go to weather.com and websters.com (Decent sites, but loaded with banner ads and spyware to be sure, but nothing insanely malicious) and I got 5-6+ spyware hits on search and destroy subsequent the search.

I then went on firefox and did the same thing and returned nothing in either MS Suite and search and destroy. I then started actually clicking on banner ads on facebook, digg, and those "WIN A FREE IPOD!" type ads you see once you are directed to a site by clocking on one of the aforementioned banner ads.

I then closed out and ran MS Security suite and found nothing, and also found nothing on Spybot S & D. The immunization from the spybot S & D is extremely solid, I just wished that it would interface with chrome because running the scans isn't the extremely fast on my computer.

As for using a different OS: I use ubuntu when I'm at home cruising the internet but most of the time I'm on a University campus and the wireless authentication process doesn't work quite right and my course materials and files are always in dreaded XML Microsoft formats.

Those are adverising tracking cookies. Fortunately not anything that runs actively on your computer. I don't get too concerned with tracking cookies, though some spyware removers treat them as if they're a big deal. On Firefox I prevent those by running a cookie manager that treats all cookies as session cookies unless I explicitly over-ride that and allow the cookie. On Chrome you can reduce the number of these greatly by setting it to "allow cookies only from sites I visit". Most of the tracking cookies are 3rd party, and would be disallowed under this setting while your primary site could still store its settings as needed. Be aware that some, though exceedingly few, sites might have issues with 3rd party cookies being disallowed. I haven't yet found any myself, but they do apparently exist.

You use Ubuntu? Thats cool. I love Linux beasd OS. Why can you not use OpenOffice.org to edit you XML files?!?!? OpenOffice.org can edit XML files!
