I have never had the scroll issue, but a number of people who have used your scroll fix have said it works 100%.
Thanks for the release, and keep up the good work.
This is a discussion on [Release] Scroll Fix - Chrome Patcher within the Chrome Talk section, part of the Google Chrome category: I wasn't sure where to post this (as it is a bit like an addon but not a plugin) so ...
I wasn't sure where to post this (as it is a bit like an addon but not a plugin) so I am sorry if I made a mistake.
I have recently released a program to quickly and automatically fix the "cannot scroll up using certain touch pads" issue for Google Chrome (until Chrome is fixed officially).
Just run chrome_patch.exe. It will modify chrome.dll to fix the issue.
You can download/read about it at http://digg.com/software/Google_Chrome_68
For those who can't digg it :P

I have downloaded the fix and put it on my desktop. However, I don't seem to be able to run it and install it properly.
Running the fix opens a little black box on which I am told twice to hit any key to continue. However, after hitting a key the second time, the box just disappears and nothing has changed as far as scrolling in Chrome is concerned.
What am I doing wrong?
What OS are your running, Vista? If so try running it as Administrator.
Also you could try the current developer build 0.2.153.1 which has the fix for this issue, to do this follow the steps in my blog post Chrome Development Updates.
Many thanks. :->
Have managed to install the 153.1 build, but that has not remedied the problem.
Let's see if we are talking about the same thing....
Under the touch pad on my laptop there are the two 'buttons' for right and left click and between them, a metal square which I can use for scrolling up and down by pushing it down at the top or bottom. This works for me on IE and Maxthon 2, but (still) does not work on Chrome (or, by the way, Firefox).
Should the update have solved that problem?
(I am on XP, by the way, and I can scroll with a mouse using the central wheel.)
