    Default Skull and Crossbones

I have never seen this before.

A red tiny skull and crossbones appear to the left of the "https", with a diagonal red line through the "https". Reviewing the security cert does not reveal anything startling enough to cause the skull to appear. Has anyone else ever seen this?

If you are trying to use https on any website which doesn't have a perfect certificate (in date, valid, and you have to have visited the site previously too I think), it'll do that. Generally not something to worry about, just be careful what information you input to a site with that.

It's only meant to show you that the site isn't as secure as Chrome would like it to be. But, if it were serious, it would give you a full page warning before allowing you to enter the site.

Also, another reason it might pop-up is from that page including non-secure elements (usually ad iframes).
