I was using Facebook and I thought about how convenient it was to have their chat operation on a bar along the bottom of the screen and how easy it was to add and click through conversations without having to worry about losing the chat history or reopen chat boxes whenever I loaded a new page (e.g. going from looking at groups, back to my profile).
The Google Talk option in Gmail is a lot like this I think, but the problem is that I have to be in the Gmail window/tab or force the chat box out to it's own window forcing me to switch to it whenever I want to enter or read text.
I think it would be great if Chrome had a similar integrated application for Google talk that stayed open on whatever tab you are looking so chatting while perusing the internet wouldn't require so much switching back and forth.
