hi all, new here, been trying out chrome since last year but 2weeks ago i decided to really give it a try.

is there a way to make chrome text writing and editing in forums and email (textboxes) behave like other programs?

been using puters for over 20years, there are some well established standards. it seems editing in chrome is a lil different and its hard to get used to it.

how can i make it behave like other standard windows programs for writing in particular?

well for one, type something in a reply, then use ctrl+arrows to move the cursor.

it goes at end of current word if you go right. instead of after the space.

makes it very different and difficult to edit text.

lil things like that.

What i mean is, text writing (like forum text boxes) behaves differently than in other windows standard programs.

Like ctrl+right arrow should move the cursor to the start of the next word, not end of current word. which makes a tiny difference how we write.

Re-learning how to type. it is counter intuitive too.

plz bring it back to the standard.

Maybe it's a issue only for this forum, because when you try it in the address bar it works as expected. Have you tried it in e-mail and other sites?

it happens on all websites. not just here.
