Google chrome runs a "cloud server"; it has a bunch of virtual servers attached to its main proxy, which (although sacrificing a good deal of security) adds a good deal of speed- less IP's are attached to 1 server because there are multiple servers that reduce clutter

Except Trident engine most others are comparable in speed, so no point in claiming Chrome is fast just because of KHTML based WebKit.
