I downloaded the 10MB exe of 4.0.201.1 Dev from Softpedia, and it's not updating my current 3.0.197.11 version. Does anyone know if a restart is in order?
I'm actually not interested in synching bookmarks (since I use different browsers across four machines), but I am interested in the "fixes" that the changelog mentions.
Chrome should not be running when installing from an installer
I noticed that previous version of Chrome was deleted
yeah, i closed my chrome.
Opened the installer. Watched it use 12MB of RAM. Go away.
And the I re-opened Chrome.
But wierd thing is, I'm still on Dev 3. Anyway, I'll try again tomorrow I guess.
Thanks for the idea Sulasno.
Sulasno, your installer worked!
I checked and it turns out that Softpedia uploaded the beta version in the Dev link. So I was actually installing 3_0_195_6 earlier. :-P
Again, thanks Sulasno!
