First of all. I am a rookie and I am not sure if I am posing these questions correctly.
I am trying to understand the current HTML5-based support for offline operation by mobile handset browsers and the likely support by the handset market share leaders within the next 12 months. The following questions come to mind.
1) When did Google Chrome first support HTML 5 AppCache and HTML5 Local Storage to enable seamless operation of web apps with intermittent connectivity to the Internet? Please provided the approximate release date and version number if possible
2) What Browser is used on Android Phones and does it support HTML 5 AppCache and HTML5 local storage? Is it based upon webkit?
3) Does anyone know the current support for HTML5 AppCache and HTML5 Local Storage on mobile handset browsers other than Safari on the iphone?
4) Is RIM Blackberry planning to adopt a better browser that will support HTML5 AppCache ..... to enable off-line operation of web apps?
Thanks
