Smile Browser Support for HTML5 AppCache and HTML5 Local Storage

First of all. I am a rookie and I am not sure if I am posing these questions correctly.

I am trying to understand the current HTML5-based support for offline operation by mobile handset browsers and the likely support by the handset market share leaders within the next 12 months. The following questions come to mind.

    1) When did Google Chrome first support HTML 5 AppCache and HTML5 Local Storage to enable seamless operation of web apps with intermittent connectivity to the Internet? Please provided the approximate release date and version number if possible

    2) What Browser is used on Android Phones and does it support HTML 5 AppCache and HTML5 local storage? Is it based upon webkit?

    3) Does anyone know the current support for HTML5 AppCache and HTML5 Local Storage on mobile handset browsers other than Safari on the iphone?

    4) Is RIM Blackberry planning to adopt a better browser that will support HTML5 AppCache ..... to enable off-line operation of web apps?

    Thanks

I recommend this forum to someone (Because normally it is extremely helpful) because I don't have an answer to their question, but think the people here may be able to help, and they get to see this C***

    @ Benni
I agree with StevePaul on this one...
What is the added value of your answer?
Why did you "loose time" in the first place, in NOT helping out at all?

Can't see how any of your post helps in any way either ?
To ask questions as the author, where you ask in east and west is hopeless, no one can answer this complete. I think I gave as complete answer as any one can within reasonable time, that he has to look himself.. To comment my post with even more useless posts I can't see how helps..

The reason (not that I should have to explain) I suggested to 'dgb' to join this forum was that I vaguely remembered that HTML5 had come up in a thread on this site (I think it was Chrome Gestures) and thought that someone that had contributed to that discussion may be able to help ...

The author (I would guess) is not looking for a complete answer from one individual, although that would be nice...

However it may well be that different individuals have experience in different areas and collectively 'dgb' gets the answer he is looking for...

IMO where better to come than the foremost forum for Chrome issues, especially as we pride ourselves on being a 'Forum for Developers'

So overall, I have already contributed to 'dgb' question by redirecting him to this forum from elsewhere already ...

I had hoped he would enjoy the experience, but unfortunately I didn't allow for inconsequential contributions !!
