Today I have send this E-mail to Blackcoil:

Hello Francesco,
We do not hear/see you anymore on http://www.chromeplugins.org/google/
We are missing you and most of us are expecting a new re-packaged version of "YouTube download helper"
As of the new Dev version of Chrome some actions must be done to existing extensions...

As I have said before: I still use the Userscript from Blackcoil (he was kind enough to produce both extension & Userscript)
But I believe an extension has more future and possibilities (as Kyrax convinced me)

In actual fact Blackcoil created the Extension before he did the User Script ...

If I remember right it was his first extension ...

For what it is worth - unless and until YouTubeDownloader is rebuilt as an Extension, I have good success using it as a user script in 3.0.189.0.

Since it's been a few days since both myself and LucVN tried to make contact with Blackcoils (no response yet) is there any chance someone from this forum could repackage Blackcoils extension 'till such time as Blackcoils gets in touch with us ...

Myself and LucVN tried to get hold of him earlier this week and neither of us has had a reply ...

I don't see why I couldn't, although theres quite a few more capable people here that could do it. I vote we repackage it and store the private key in case he comes around and wants to take it over again.
