Download :

default.dll:
v. 4.0.206.1 (dev) | v. 2.0.172.43 (stable)

Place downloaded file 'default.dll' in either:
for Vista/Win7 - for XP - (You might want to backup the original one first)

.crx (discontinued):
vista/win7 | XP

Download the .crx extension to your preferred location, and it would install automatically. If not, check that you have "--enable-extensions" switch in your Chrome shortcut and double click .crx or drag the extension on the Chrome window.

If you package your theme in .crx format for the dev versions then it would be a step in the right direction.

added an XP version of the CRX, which doesnt have a blue caption bar. and the vista/win7 version doesnt disable aero.

You would be getting more downloads now for the theme. One thing, for making the theme compatible with the future releases of Chrome you would be required to update this thread regularly so that people can download the correct version.

Hey, wonderful work, thank you very much.

I am experiencing one problem, though ... My bookmarks bar as well as my tabs bar (not the tabs themselves though) still come up in the original Chrome skin. I can see you've gotten them both to respond to your file, so I'm wondering what's different on this side.

I've had this same problem with every other Chrome skin I've tried too though, which played a big part in why I decided to give yours a go (as the screenshot clearly showed bookmarks and the tabs bar in the new skin ... I just thought maybe the programming wasn't as good with other skin works).

I'm running 2.0.172.33 and Vista Ultimate.

The bookmarks bar isn't customizable under V 2.0.172.33 (Stable & Beta versions), so you would have to update to the Dev Channel to have it skinned.

As for the tab bar, I have no clue..
