So what exactly does it do, apart from an orange strip at the top ?

Not sure what you mean by "what does it do", it's just a theme.
I guess it enhances the appearance of Google Chrome.
And if you look closely, it isn't an orange strip, but an orange frame around the content container.
With a hi-lite effect, not very noticeable in the picture, but looks pretty good installed.

And the blue around the theme is not part of the theme, just some background that I didn't trim.

Apologies for being flippant, guess I'm just too used to Stamga's themes ...

    I'll give it a whirl ;-)

Chrome, the big problem with .crx themes are the buttons. If he does package it in a .crx theme, he will loose all transparency that they currently have.

can you show what are you talking about? i mean, in my crx the buttons look ok, i think. the only problem i noticed is the aero, that is, either aero is hidden by the "theme_frame": "/images/theme_frame_default.png", or there is a blue caption bar in XP if you remove that line.

Jedi Knight, this theme doesnt look too good in vista..

    (chrome 3.0.193.0)

What I mean is that, (I think) he uses transparency on his buttons, but if he turns it into a .crx theme, his buttons will loose its transparency...
