    Default EDIT: Lightning theme 2.1 [CRX]

    Replaced the background for my 2.0 version about a week ago (just didn't post it), but now I found a better color combination, and a better pattern for the toolbar. Everything blends better now.

    The "lightning.crx" theme is for 1024x600 resolution screens. The second one is for screens that have a 1600 pixel width.

    nice looking theme.. can you post a screenshot of the theme in action in your opening post..?

    Also you can submit your theme on our Google Chrome Themes Gallery as well.

    Add this to your manifest.json to blend the bookmarks bar into the background.

    "toolbar": [ 0, 0, 0, 0 ]

    I was trying to keep my toolbar pattern while still making the disconnected bookmark bar (the one on the new tab page) blend with the main background. From what you're saying, it doesn't look like that's possible. But thanks for the tip. I'll probably use that in other custom themes.

    That doesn't effect the actual toolbar, meaning the tabs, button and bookmarks bar.
    It only effects the bookmarks bar if not attached to the toolbar.

    "toolbar" is actually the area at the very bottom of the page that displays the url when a link is hovered.

    I tried it. It just changed the background color of the disconnected bookmark bar to the background color. I guess it'll have to work the way it is. And I updated the theme to a background with a bigger resolution. It's not the same background as the original one though. Instead, it's a desert thunder storm background for monitors with a 1600 pixel width.

    Never mind what I said before, Jedi Knight. Making the toolbar area invisible worked, but in the completed version of Chrome. I'm using the Beta version, that's what the difference was.

    Added a 1600-pixel-wide version of this theme, if anyone wants a bigger background.
