One of the things I miss about using IE is McAfee Site Advisor (only available for IE and FF) which had a nice 'traffic light system' for checking a web sites security status.

When you visited a web site an indicator on your toolbar would change colour (Green, Orange, Red or Grey) depending on what McAfee thought about it.

I recently did a search to see if there was something available (User script) to achieve the same in Chrome.

I was astounded to find that there was something here in Chrome Plugins.

Got to be honest I only ever go to the forums !!

So here it is a little bit of Javascript :-)

As usual before posting I've given it a thorough testing alongside my IE and it worked fine.

Obviously you'll be on a website before you can click on your bookmarklet, having said that in IE you would be on the website before the indicator changes colour.

It's worth it just in case you end up somewhere you weren't expecting ...

Enjoy :-D
