When I installed Dev channel Chrome on this machine WinPatrol asked me if I wanted to let Google Updater auto start. I clicked no.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get it to auto start. Any hints?

edit: got it. Just used RegEdit to add it to HKCU Run command.

There was a day when Norton was good and worked. Those days seem to be behind. Have you considered a free alternative? Right now I am using Avast on one computer and AVI Personal on the other. Both are excellent , free, and work.








Car MP3 Players-Car GPS

I like to scan with Malwarebytes free version. The only thing really annoying is I write programs that are compiled scripts. It sees the script inside an .exe and flags it. It makes you click each individual item to add to the ignore list. I have to remember to clean out the recycle bin before running scans. Otherwise it takes them out of the recycle bin and flags them. I have to reboot the machine to let it clean them off. Other than that it's cleaned up a lot of little registry hacks and other stuff for me. Also I use Sandboxie if I'm going to browse in hazardous waters.
