Just a little tip today I "found" and thought i'd share.

If you type

chrome-ui://favicon/http://www.WEBPAGE.com/

in your address bar (replace WEBPAGE by some site you've already been to), you can obtain the favicon of that site.

You can also obtain a thumbnail for that page under

Code:

chrome-ui://thumb/http://www.WEBPAGE.com/

While these might seem useless at first, they can be used inside scripts / extensions and plugins that you develop.

They are used on the default new tab page (chrome-ui://newtab/)

I thumbnail service worth trying is http://www.sitethumbshot.com/.

chrome-ui://? It's still chrome:// for me. :X (4.0.211.2)

im using chrome://thumb/... in my extension to get the thumb of an opened page that gives the error saying that it is trying to use an local url. An example code is provided bellow.
