Another easy way to control size and position is with this free utility:http://winsize2.sourceforge.net/en/index.html I've used it for several months and found it stable. Basically, get the window to open as you want while WinSize2 is running in the tray. Click on the window to make it the active window. Hit the hotkey. From then on, the first time that window opens it will be sized and moved to that position, provided WinSize2 is running in the tray. It doesn't stop you from subsequently changing size and position. It only moves each saved window on first appearance of that window in the Windows session. It has the option to start at logon.
