thanks for sharing
Roboform is one of the very few software that I actually pay for it
I wonder what's the version of Chromium?
I don't think we'll see support for toolbars because it consumes so much of the vital screenspace… They do everything they can to strip the interface as clean as possible and toolbars just don't fit that profile.
But if it is requested enough they can be 'forced' to make some sort of support, I doubt however.
In Chrome for Chrome OS it seems there will be a toolbar however with wifi panel and such, but if an extra panel was added, well then there won't be much free space on screen as their primary target at the moment is notebooks.. Havn't seen any design docs mention it, so surely it won't be in a near future at least..
Even it being a minimalist philosophy, I don't think Google is going to avoid the support of a toolbar or such similar thing.
Google's strategy is to always make users integrate more and more of their products: that's the why to have Orkut, Gmail and all that you need a Google account. It's not even safer that way, because if someone discovers your password then the person will have access to all your services. So sure they make a damn good marketing to show the good sides of it.
A toolbar is a way to make Google even more present in the user's life, making easier for him to go to a service of them.
Well, maybe with all the new products (even Chrome itself, which they can put everything within it already) they don't care for a toolbar more, but as they making with Sync (which stimulates people to use Google Docs) I'm sure there will be other features integrated.
They good not just because of their quality, but also because their marketing is "quick", clever.
has anyone downloaded and install the Roboform Chromium?
appreciate any feedback ...
I have and it didnt work at first (no Roboform toolbar), after a bit of fiddling its there everytime I open my browser. Havnt clicked the X on the toolbar as it might dissapear for good lol
I'v sumitted a few bugs to the developers of Chrome, but they have still not assigned the tasks to any1 :/
As for this moment Roboform extension can crash Chrome, don't think any extensions should be able to do so.
I havn't used the 'chromium' version, and wouldn't recommend this to any1, as it fast will be outdated and can't be auto-updated, so you will have a highter risk for security issues ...
