    Default Safe(er) passwords?

The biggest thing holding me back from all-out Chrome use is the fact that any idiot who's at your computer can click "show passwords" and see all your saved passwords! Firefox threw us a bone a couple versions ago and gave the Master Password option. If the same thing isn't going to be available in chrome yet, I'd like to find a way to achieve a similar effect. Right now the only option I've explored is using a portable version of Chromium (which I'm not so sure about) and encrypting the directory it's in with Truecrypt. I'm not a security freak or anything (obviously, since I'm saving form pws in the first place) it's just that I know that any person with basic tech knowledge can soooo easily see ALL of my passwords.

    Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean, Ozzy. Where is the 'show all passwords' option?

I agree.. There should be an option to block them from being viewed..

@Michael: Go into the Wrench Menu > Options, click the "Minor Tweaks" tab, click the "Show saved passwords" button.. Have fun stealing your friends passwords lol (joke)

There is even a better way to see all the passwords: ChromePass

ChromePass is a small password recovery tool that allows you to view the user names and passwords stored by Google Chrome Web browser. For each password entry, the following information is displayed: Origin URL, Action URL, User Name Field, Password Field, User Name, Password, and Created Time.

Does not seem to work for me. No password is shown after launching, maybe it's not compatible with recent versions of Chrome? In addition, I had to put it in the "exception" list of my antivirus program, to avoid its forced removal as "dangerous program"...

    Default Ops...

My mistake... it DOES work! Provided you close the browser before using ChromePass... I suppose the password file is locked when in use, and cannot be accessed
