Default Windows 7 Dock - 2 Icons Solution?

When using Chrome 4.0.266.0 with Windows 7, I have it pinned to the taskbar/dock although when I open Chrome it then makes another icon appear on the far right hand side of the taskbar/dock. The whole point of the dock is to keep things within one icon.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

A feature? I don't understand why making the taskbar/dock more messy is a feature...

    :-)

I have read some Win 7 users of Chrome with the same problem and have not found a solution; apparently it is a Chrome bug

I know it's a small bug but hopefully ironed out soon. Glad to hear it isn't just me.

I had this problem after some update. Unpinning Chrome from the taskbar and pinning the icon that appear at the far right hand side of the taskbar fixed it for me.

Is this just the dev version? As I am using the latest Chromium Build (35449) And I do not get this bug so it should be fixed in the Next Dev release hopefully...
    Chrome and Chromium FTW!
