@Waha
Just been using your extension manager (I used to use your original manager) to have a mess with repackaging Blackcoils YouTube Downloader (while I wait for one of you experts to do it properly) ...
Downloaded Python first (not sure I needed that, but did it just in case)
Had a bit of success, got it installed and working (more by luck than judgement) ...
Got a couple of questions on how your utility works ...
I noticed that the CRX is created in the actual extension folder (you're creating) in the Projects folder, but when the extension is installed this CRX disappears, where did it go
...
Found It, Just reading your thread about Theme extensions pointed me in the right direction ;-)
You need the CRX to reinstall the Extension (I copied it before continuing with your utility)...
The Perm gets created in the PEMs folder as it should ...
I got the following error message, what exactly does it mean (if anything)
'tskill' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Just press OK on the dialog, I will handle the rest.
I'm not a teckie, just like to know how things work

@StevePaul: You should install Greasemonkey![]()
@LucVN
Watch you don't cut yourself ;-D
isnt it easier to package extensions using chrome?
Not a teckie, but found it really easy with Waha's extension manager ...
You don't need python anymore, that was for when we had to use the .py script to package.
That's weird tskill doesn't exist. ^^; I thought that was on all systems.
Regardless all tskill is is "task kill" so just make sure to close out Chrome when it mentions you have to close it and it will do the same thing.
I'll throw in a check for the file though, thanks for pointing that out.
EDIT: Apparently it's not a file but I got a hack of a check in there anyway, try it out and tell me if it works okay. :] If tskill doesn't work on your system it should just tell you to close Chrome yourself.

~ Projects ~
Specialized: Carapass Auction Watcher, Kongregate Chat
Libraries: bliplib
Tools: manifest syntax highlighting & snippits
~ Happy to make extensions for pay too ;D ~
Portfolio: Search and Share
That's OK then I'll uninstall it (hate having redundant software on me laptop) ..
As a matter of interest where should tskill have been, I'm Vista (Premium)
Got the message to close Chrome anyway ..
As I said was only using your extension to try and get Blackcoils extension working (could do with someone doing it properly)...
BTW ...
Seeing as your a person who does a lot of development (and likes a challenge), how about the following ...
I call it a 'privacy' extension ..
Double clicking on the current tab changes to a blank page (hide current content), double clicking again restores previous page ...
What would be really cool would be to be able to customise it so you could have a picture or something (bit like a screen saver) ...
I actually posted this (or something like it) on the Sticky for Plugin requests ...
Anyway, thanks for your help and keep up the good work ;-)
