how about some brief details on the updated version? thanks

EDIT

Chromium is running; ran the extension; was told to close Chrome
shut down Chromium, ran backup Profile
saved to the same folder as the extension
not sure whether Chrome or Chromium profile is saved

when you run it,

go to General Settings

see Edit Browser Location
check to see whether the location is correct

Mh you're right, maybe the completition message should include more information, and the request to close the browser should address the right one.

However Chromium and Chrome profiles are compatible ( to my knowledge ).

As a rule, the procedures ( saving/restoring profiles ) are applied to the browser currently selected; in the statusbar you can read whenever Chrome or Chromium is selected.

@Chrome: It should work correctly on Vista, what is displayed in the statusbar?

I downloaded the zip file, extracted all the files on the desktop, double-clicked on Chrome.ExtensionManager.NET.exe, but after than nothing happens? Do i need to extract the files to the Chrome installation directory?

Nothing appears? Do the task manager show the manager running, even for a little time?

Maybe I will add some debug logs in the coming versions
