    Default [Tool] Chrome.ExtensionManager

    I developed this tool to manage Extensions ( installed and developed ) for the guys who prefer GUIs

    CurrentVersion: 1.1.0.1

    Requirement:
    .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

    Installation:
    Unzip somewhere and double click on "Chrome.ExtensionManager.NET.exe"

    Features:
    - General Settings:
    Controls the default launch parameters of chrome

    -Installed Extension:
    Manage the installed extensions ( disable / remove / browse )

    -Developed Extension:
    Organize your workspace of developed extensions ( delete / package / browse )

    NEW on 1.0.0.7
    - Toolstrip Reordering: Not as useful as I though, because you can already sort the toolstrip by drag&drop I didn't know.

    - Works on Chromium: You can change your browser location and the Application will detect if you selected Google Chrome or Chromium.

    - Reduced Window Size

    NEW on 1.0.1.0
    - Profile Backup and Restore
    - Bugfix: Chrome was always setted as default browser

    NEW on 1.0.1.0
    - Bugfix: Works with the last dev version
    - Known bug: Disable Extension feature no longer work, DON'T USE IT.

    WARNING: Restoring a profile will OVERRIDE your existing one, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    Perfect except for one thing :-)

    What version of Chrome are you running ?

    EDIT

    It is working in Dev Chrome 3.0.196.2
    and the ico is rather nice ^^^
    Opening window is a little too big for my small screen though

    Would be nice if you can create the same extension for Chromium;

    Chromium settings are stored here in WinXP
    C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Chromium

    Icon art isn't mine, but found somewhere on the internets

    However I plan to release the code in the near future so It shouldn't be a problem.

    I'll think about Chromium support once I fix some bugs and add a feature I need:
    Toolstrip sorting ( so you can reorder the several toolstrip on the bottom bar of chrome ).

    Expect a new version in a few days.

    it would be interesting to see how one of my extensions handle the Toolstrip sorting;
    it's smile manager;
    resting the mouse on the extension would bring the similes across the Toolstrip

    Yes, I used that for a while.

    I believe that in the case of expanding toolstrips the sorting feature is essential, because they work better if they're the rightmost ones.

    @Open ...

    Isn't it just as easy to drag the extensions to reorder them on the toolstrip ?

    @OpenNingia

    I installed gtalk (another extension on the toolstrip)
    When I put the mouse on the smile manager, the gtalk extension is pushed to the right of Chrome (and goes out of sight and return to original position) :-)

    How do you do that? I'm not able to drag anything in the toolstrip.

    @sulasno:

    About chromium, could you give me more information about? Like registry keys and such.

    Currently I use Registry keys to know if chrome is installed and to retrieve its install position, the same should work for chromium too.

    I just scan WinXP's registry for Chromium and I can't find anything;

    I don't have Chromium installed; I run it from a folder on the Desktop
