Talking Wave - Coming to an office near you ?

It seems we'll soon see the first, more or less, public (early) preview of Wave, Google's hope of changing how we understand and use the internet.

According to the blog, http://googlewavedev.blogspot.com/20...-explorer.html : "When we extend our Google Wave preview next week...."

The project : http://wave.google.com/ - If you havn't heard of Wave, you can check out the video and hope to understand a bit more (it's rather complicated if you ask me )

Sometimes I wonder if those things are that cool, or if I should be afraid of soon Google being a monopoly.

Not that it's so bad... Microsoft had (and still have in fact) a large piece of this cake, and between both I preffer 100% Google over the other. Well, internet is future, so Microsoft is a little bit too late nowadays.

    LOL

    It's kinda old :-p

Anyway, Microsoft has a similar project for a long time.. so nothing special.

Special probably only because there's this "Google hype" lol. Oh and Zenbe Shareflow has more or less the same features.

Here's a screenie of the Microsoft Social Views Of Email project

Oh and of course http://socialwok.com/ for Google Apps and normal Gmail

Only that you can use only 5 flows with the free version and it is locked to M$ servers only. What Google is making is not a app but a new free protocol to be used in apps by who ever wants to.

OK, I tested Zenbe Shareflow today as I need something like this for my work and it's basically a forum with tree structure. I cant see how it "has more or less the same features" same functions that Wave will (I hope) have.

Well, we all don't know yet what features Wave will have when they release it to public (FINAL). I don't mean the alpha (now) or beta (soon), I mean the final version. Maybe sometime next year or so.

Maybe then only the pro ($$$) version will have similar features of what the Alpha has now? Just guessing...

Google Wave runs in most browsers, with the notable exception of Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE). Users of IE will have to download a plug-in, known as Chrome Frame to use the application.

I just had to share this. It made my day so much better and happier.
